Raymond Leo Seeberger, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away
peacefully on November 20, 2024, at the age of 88. He was born in 1936, in Dawson
County, Montana, to Lawrence Seeberger and Katherine Duppong. Raymond lived a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories, enriched by the relationships he built and the communities he served.
Raymond's early years were marked by a strong sense of duty and commitment to his work and family. He served in the Army for two years and then Raymond pursued a fulfilling forty-two-year career as a Carman with Burlington Northern Santa Fe, from which he later retired. His work ethic and dedication to his profession were qualities that defined him throughout his life.
A man of simple pleasures, Raymond enjoyed the little things in life. He had a special fondness for cookies and had a quirky habit of hiding snacks for later. He was also known for his culinary prowess, particularly his amazing potato salad, which was a hit at family gatherings. Despite his gruff exterior, he had a soft spot for animals, especially his dog Joey, whom he enjoyed walking, although not always with enthusiasm.
Raymond was married three times, first to Carol (Fortier), then to Deanne (Clifton), and finally to Barbara (Constantine). Each marriage brought love and companionship, and he cherished the memories created during those times. He was preceded in death by his beloved siblings: Irma, Richard, Joseph, and Mary Seeberger and his son David Seeberger. Their absence leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew them.
He is survived by his five children: Lori (Afa) Tia, Lisa (Bob) Wright, Lynda Seeberger, Paul (Carolyn) Seeberger, and Michael (Robbin) Seeberger. Raymond was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren and was blessed with six great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy. He took great pride in his family and was a constant source of support and encouragement.
Raymond was a devout Catholic and an active member of his community. He believed in the importance of giving back, and in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. John Bosco in his honor.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Hospice Team at Envision Healthcare at Home for their incredible support and assistance over the past two months. Your compassion and dedication will never be forgotten.
Raymond Leo Seeberger leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and resilience. He will be remembered for his warm heart, humor, and the indelible mark he made on the lives of those around him. A funeral service will be held in Lakewood, WA, where family and friends can gather to celebrate his remarkable life.
As we bid farewell to this gentle giant, let us remember his laughter, his love for cooking, and the joy he found in the company of his family and friends. Rest in peace, Raymond. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
