Not every death warrants reflection framed as loss. Some warrant acknowledgment of impact. In this case, the most accurate measure of a life is not aspiration or intent, but the conditions imposed on others over time. His history was marked by prolonged instability, substance abuse, and violence that directly affected those closest to him, including children. These were not isolated incidents or misunderstandings. They were recurring patterns with predictable consequences, borne quietly by others and absorbed into daily life as a matter of survival. Public narratives often attempt to simplify what was, in reality, sustained harm. That simplification does not alter the record. Silence did not indicate absence, and endurance should never be mistaken for consent, acceptance, or forgiveness. My regard remains solely with those who were required to navigate fear, volatility, and neglect without meaningful protection or relief. Their resilience, distance, and ongoing work toward stability represent the clearest and most honest outcome of his life's influence. Death ends accountability only in the narrowest sense. It does not erase consequence, restore what was damaged, or obligate grace. Memory is not improved by omission. Remembrance does not require cruelty, but it does require honesty. In this case, honesty means recognizing that the harm done did not end with him and will not be undone. I will sleep soundly knowing he no longer walks this earth.

My heart remains heavy since receiving the news of my childhood great friend Randy leaving this world. Thick as thieves we were for many-many years!! From dirt bikes to flat tires to some crazy nights along the Guadalupe river in Cuero Texas & many other unspeakable escapades we shared... You will be greatly missed on my end for sure!! Till we meet again brother Fair Winds & Following Seas!!!
