I played football in HS with Don. He was as tough and bruising of a running back as they get. Whenever we needed one yard we would call Don's number, and would always get that yard often to my side of line with Mark Vornbrock and I making the block. To this day I often say about a football team "if you can't get one yard you don't deserve to win". Don was a great team mate and it carried that demeanor all through his life. Hope to see you again some day, Don. My condolences to Ron and the family. Marty McGuirk, Kennedy 1970.
