Cremation is a cost-effective process of disposing of the body using water or flame and is performed either before or after a funeral service. It takes about 1-3 hours to cremate the body. Are you looking for cremation services in Lakewood? Oakwood Hill Funeral Chapel & Cemetery offers affordable cremation services that cover everything you need to ensure your loved one’s body is properly cared for and cremated.
Cremation is more affordable compared to burial services. The latter can cost you up to $40,000, depending on the type of plot or headstone purchased. If you want to save thousands, we recommend choosing one of our cremation services in Lakewood. Oakwood Hill Funeral Chapel & Cemetery offers three types of cremation services for our clients.
Our team will take care of the embalming, dressing and cosmetizing for the funeral ceremony. We also provide Legacy Touch fingerprinting. Private viewing is also included. We strictly adhere to our procedures to avoid mistakes, while implementing an identification system for our cremation services.
At Oakwood Hill Funeral Chapel & Cemetery, we make our cremation services easy. While you can visit us to talk to a family service director, end-of-life service requests can also be made online. Answer a few questions to help us determine the right service you need for yourself (in the future) or for a loved one.
For those who want to save money on cremation services, we recommend getting a fire-based cremation. The process takes only a couple of hours and our team can take care of the transfer of the remains and provide a vehicle.
Planning for a cremation service can be painful or overwhelming, especially when a sudden death has occurred, which is why we take care of everything. Let us know if a loved one has final wishes, and we’ll make it happen.
Please don't hesitate to visit us at your earliest convenience; you'll find our physical address on our homepage. You may also contact us by phone or use our online form to book a cremation package.
We'll need death certificates signed by a physician. You also need the county's approval for cremation. Don't worry; your funeral director will help you obtain the documents required for your loved one's cremation.
The next step is to pick a cremation package and register your final wishes (if you have any). Oakwood Hill Funeral Chapel & Cemetery offers three cremation packages for our clients:
Direct Cremation:
A one-time fee of $695 or $11/month for flame-based cremation.
This arrangement is our basic package, which includes cremation of your loved one's body. Call us immediately when death occurs so that our staff can immediately schedule a vehicle to transfer the remains to our facility. We'll store the body in a temperature-controlled room while waiting for the required documents and approval for cremation. After cremation, we'll provide you with a plastic urn or an alternative container to store your loved one's ashes. Our staff will also take care of the online obituary listing and Eternity’s Touch™ Fingerprinting.
We can accommodate private family viewing for an additional $1,200. Speak to your funeral director if you wish to also include a memorial service or a funeral for your loved one. You can either book a separate package or a burial service package.
Cremation Followed by Memorial Service:
A one-time fee of $2,595 or $43/month for flame-based cremation.
This package includes all the services included in the Direct Cremation plus private family viewing and a memorial ceremony. We also offer our equipment for live-streaming ceremonies in case you have family members who can't make it to Oakwood Hill Funeral Chapel & Cemetery or relatives who live outside the United States. Speak to your funeral director if you wish to book this service.
Funeral Ceremony Followed by Cremation:
A one-time fee of $3,395 or $56/month for flame-based cremation.
When you book this arrangement, our staff will take care of embalming, dressing and cosmetizing. We'll include a private family viewing and a funeral ceremony at our chapel. An additional fee applies if you wish to hold the funeral outside our chapel.
All arrangements include a funeral director who will guide you through the entire process. Don't hesitate to talk to us if you wish to include additional services such as burial or memorial or if you want to use an alternative container for your loved one's ashes.
If you have final wishes for your loved one, let us know. We'll do our best to accommodate them. Also, if you need financing for a loved one's cremation, we've partnered with Monevo, which can assist you in obtaining a loan from banks and other lenders. Visit our funeral chapel to know more or apply online to determine if you qualify for the loan.
