Our cremation process typically takes about 2-3 hours to complete, depending on the person’s weight and size. Once we have all the documentation, including the signed death certificate, we can begin the process. We follow a strict procedure to ensure you receive the ashes of your loved one, which you can pick up or have delivered.
We can arrange a memorial ceremony to celebrate the life of your loved one, including a live-streaming ceremony for family members or friends who can’t make it to the memorial service. Oakwood Hill Cemetery also offers a cremation package that includes a memorial service, which you can customize with additional services such as purchasing memorial cards, a keepsake package and Life Stories.
Oakwood Hill Funeral Chapel & Cemetery offers various options for families, including green burial or terramation, allowing your loved one’s deceased body to decompose naturally. We don’t use any chemicals to transform your loved one’s body into rich, fertile soil you can use in your garden. We offer Immediate Terramation, which includes washing or disinfecting your loved one’s remains, a Laying-in Ceremony Followed by Terramation, and a Funeral Ceremony Followed by Terramation. Our eco-friendly services are for individuals who want their bodies to return to nature after their death.
